Wheel Polishing

I have just had the Fuch wheels fully polished on my SC (not to everyone's taste I know - in fact, I am not sure I will keep it long term - see how they grow on me.) but I promised the guy I would put a recommendation on here for him. He has done a very good job, which included polishing the face, the inside of the rim (but not the back of the spokes) and even the wheel nuts for £45 a corner. I am very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend him.

His name is Lee Mills on 07749181457 and he is based near Aylesbury, Bucks.

I'll try and upload some photo's as well.

I think they look great and it lifts the whole car, far better than the painted wheels. Are the wheels lacquered after being polished? Very nice.

Thanks Baz,

They're not lacquered - my thinking being that if and when they start to dull I can just polish them up by hand. Apparently, lacquering them will take some of the shine off?

I like them too, your car now looks like a US 'Weissach' special edition SC from 1980. The yanks go for polished rims in a big way. Do you know if your guy could polish just the rims and not the faces?
Cheers Dan.

Yes the center caps and even my nuts..... sorry re-phrase that 'my wheel nuts'.. [:D]

I don't know whether or not he can do the painting though - best to give him a call.

One thing, if they do polish the wheel nuts get them to stuff the inners with a rag or something, because getting any grit out afterwards is a pain and has to be done as they will cross thread.
