Barrie,

I've had wheels done in the past by Romax and they were fine, same day turn around too. That was a few years ago though and one or two people have said they were impressed with the results. I've recently had my Turbo s wheels refurbished by Lepsons in Gillingham, I sent them by courier (Paisley freight0 who collected and returned them to my home address. Wheels were away for a week but wasn't a problem as I don't use the car every day and it sat on axle stands in the garage.

Others in the North East recommend SEM in Sunderland though I've never used them myself.

hope this helps

Hello Barrie,

You could try Motorcool Services / Teesdale Powder Coatings at 17 bonlea Trading Estate , Thornaby.
I haven't used them myself but I have seen their work and it looks good.
The place doesn't look much but they do a good job. They don't advertise as they get enough work without it.

I have recently had my wheels done by Chris Weaver of Exel Wheels. www.exelwheels.co.uk
He fits a set of loan wheels and takes yours away and has them powder coated then painted in the correct Porsche colour, or colour of your choice, then lacquered.
He also fitted a new set of tyres which I supplied or can quote you for some new ones if you need them.

It saved me a lot of hassle was a lovely job.

I think Motorcool should be able to match the original colour too. The last time I was down there they had a large colour chart with lots of different options displayed.

Exelwheels use Lepsons to do the refurb but as Marty says they offer you the loan wheels while yours are away, I didn't need that so I cut out the middle man[;)]

Many thanks for the replies Guys... I think ill go with Exel because i dont have axle stands and the loan wheels sound a good idea

cheers
