Wheel Refurb Bristol

I've just logged in here to post a follow up to my queries on wheel refurbishment from about a month ago - having picked up my newly refurbished wheels yesterday - wow I'm so pleased with them - and the service I've had from Chris Weaver who runs Exel Wheels.
He has sets of loan wheels which he brings to you, swaps them over, manages the refurb (with a firm based in Kent I believe) and then brings the wheels back to you about a week later. For me it took the hassle out of what to do with my car while the wheels were done and also meant I could use someone who other people had recommended highly.
(No he is not willing to drive all the way to Scotland! Basically I had two reasons to drive down to England on two consecutive weekends, so we met up in Birmingham - where is was meeting a customer with a 997 Turbo - so he did my car too outside the other guys office - and this weekend in Rotherham area - he was coming to Sheffield anyway). I also got him to supply and fit a new set of Michelin PS2s at the same time. I'm fairly sure Bristol would not be a problem for him.
Until earlier this year he had a 993C2S.
(All the normal comments about how I have no connection with him, other than being a satisfied customer - having picked up a recommendation from someone else on here)

He costs more than you'd expect to pay "locally" - ie I found a local guy (with a PCGB discount) in Glasgow at £260 - although I was not 100% sure what that included. Exel charged me £400 including VAT for the complete service (ie two trips to meet me, loan wheels for a week etc).
My wheels are Cup2s - so split rims might be more.
What with the rubbing issues and all i recommend you seek out a set of used "02" carrera alloys(genuine porsche wheel from 996/2002) for your car which have the perfect factory offsets and width and will not rub , they are significantly lighter and will still look good and be a lot easier to maintain! They change hands for about £500 ish a set If you go for a proper refurb on your rims ,depending on what finish the outer rims are done to, the corrosion could start the first time they see a winter, because the clear laquer that the polished outer rim is finished in, will begin to crack the second the split rim bolts are fitted back in to the wheel! Bare untreated alloy avoids this but you WILL have to polish with autosol or similar every week(polishing around 40 bolts isn't alot of fun 4 times round!) without fail or alloy corroision will develop. The lasting option is to have the outer part hard anodised which takes the polished finish off them a bit but will make them rather easier to look after. The chemical process creating a very hard layer to the alloy. A cheap job is only really of any use for selling purposes as it will not last.I can point you in the direction of a few places but it wont be cheap......

I have a few "curb" issues with the wheels......
What I need is a relatively cheap repair and refurb and to sell them on (I have the original receipt for my wheels £3175 including 2 tyres - done prior to my ownership)
Then invest in a new (non-split rim) !!!
How much do you think I would get for refurbed wheels ?
Any other suggestions gladly welcomed !!!
Regards
Hope thats of some use
