i have a gt3 split rim in need of a refurb who is best and how much should i pay. the rim is marked and also the centre . thank in advance for any info. cheers nick

Specialised Paintwork in Reading http://www.specialisedpaintwork.com. They did four of mine and they've turned out like new (with a 10% PCGB discount). Make sure they don't re-chrome the rims and paint them instead (chrome-ish paint) as they'll last significantly longer. It worked out at £100 per corner but it was a full strip and repaint rather than a basic refurb.

ive just had my GT3 split rims done

Noel from cool it sorted them out for me (R26)
They look completely like new. The rims were diamond cut as original rather than polished or painted

you would not be able to tell they weren't new

I had work on my alloys undertaken by Wicked Wheels - the OPC in Cambridge use this company for all their work.

Looks as if they are good; no corrosion has returned.

Had my sport design wheels refurbed this summer. Decided to have them split and powder coated as I suspect, and saw many comments, that a diamond cut and laquer could mean they'll quickly corrode again. Hope this isn't true but didn't want to take the risk.

Used Pristine Alloys in Milton Keynes and they look great now.

As you are from Southampton, Mitcheldever Tyres do a competitive service including repairs.

I used a mobile man called easy repair and he charged £40 per wheel and did a super job while i was at work so when i went home they were great[:)]

I'm afraid mine haven't fared so well - also done by the Cambridge OPC (but not sure if was the same sub-contractor): All four are now bubbling and flaking again badly and will need re-doing very soon [:(]

Forgot to add they are GT3 split rims and were refurbished in January 05
