Hi everyone
I have just bought my first 993 ( a targa ) the split rim's need a refurb, So I have spoken to Jasmine who have quoted £170/wheel, has anybody any experience of them. They have suggested sending me some of their refurbed wheels to me then I send them my wheels in exchange , what do you think? Are there any other split rim refurbishers you can recommend, I am in the south of England. I would appreciate your comments.
Regards
Steve B

I was quoted over £1k by PWS to do my Targa split-rims. They are sent by them to some lot in Germany who do a very thorough job, i.e. check wheel for run out etc, wheel split, polish rim, replace bolts. If you call them they will talk you through it and the website has some info http://www.performancewheelsupplies.ltd.uk/ Expensive, but you would in theory end up with better than OE standard.

They come and get them, and return them to you.

As a simpler alternative, the Jasmine option sounds fine, and at least you can look at the wheels and return them if you are not satisfied.

I've noticed some refurbed Targa split rims have the little rim bolts simply painted over- I'd rather see the wheel split and refurbed, and the bolts replaced- worth asking Jasmine the question.

If you are having the bolts replaced then stainless steel are a good option rather than the black coated ones. You then don't have to worry about the black rusting through which is very common.

Hi Maurice and Robert
Thanks for the info, I will try both options and will ask Jasmine for some more information, I will let you know how I get on
Many thanks

Acknowledged to be the best and used by OPC's and specialists.

Mention my name!!

While not split rims, Wicked Wheels did mine for the dealer before I bought my 993. Like new.

Put name in Google for details, but they come to you and do it on site.
