wheel refurb

devans

New member
Rear wheels are starting to look weathered around the outside rim. I think this is the lacquered section as i believe it is only the main centre section that is painted.[:(][:(]

Is there a quick way of tidying the outer rims without having to get the whole wheel refurbished. [&:][&:] Obviously this will need to be the case later but it does seem to be that the rims wear well before the rest of the wheel.

Can the rims be rubbed down and re lacquered in the meantime or is it more complicated???? [:)][:(][:)][:(] Any advice

I believe the wheels are the the 18 inch sports classic 11 split rims, ie 996 with gt3 kit. Apologies if i am wrong but not as technical as most of you,

Thanks

Thanks ArBee, have joined Renntech and read info. Think its going to be a summer job. Needs doing as wheels now have new colour centres and new logo dust caps. Thanks for the link.
