Hi Folks,

Can anyone recommend a top class alloy wheel refinisher in our area? I want top quality rather than lowest price.....

I believe powder coating is the way forward????

Thanks,
Chris.

p.s. I'm based in Long Eaton - the close the better......

hi,
zentrum organised my wheels being done. can't tell you how badly kerbed they were before they were done..i nearly threw them away.. they now look like new. i also had the colour changed but thats not important

don't know who he sent them too but it was approx £50 per wheel just over a year ago. although i had a lot of work done at the time so might have got a bit of a discount.

On a previous car I got the wheels powder coated through CTS in Derby (they're in the yellow pages). The finish was superb and far superior than my current wheels which I had sprayed and laquered which cost almost as much as powder coating and are already looking a bit tired. I'll be going for the powder coating next time for sure. The only downside to powder coating is that if you do kerb the rim you should get the affected area treated and sealed as soon as you can because if left the plastic coating can start to lift from the damaged area and if left unattended it will start to flake off. But I suppose it's a similar story with painted wheels to protect from corrosion spreading under the paint.

Also got mine done by Zentrum....where I think a certain person with red wheels now got the idea from...[;)]

Was very pleased with result.

I can second all the options regarding Zentrum. In fact, there was a blue3.2 targa which was stolen and recovered on their premises last year. Thought originally that the fuchs wheels needed changing but it turned out they were just badly scratched.

Mike send them to his "man" and they came out brilliant - anodising, painting the inner star in matt black- all to factory standard.

That was just under £90 if memory serves me right.

Regards,

Bert

We had our wheels refurbed through Mike as well. They did have to go back once - on Mike's insistance as he wasn't happy with them - but they look smashing now. I can't remember how much it was but it wasn't as expensive as we had feared!
