Wheel spacers?

Currently have 9.5"x20" all round on the Cayenne but saw one with spacers on the rear and it seemed to fill the arches quite nicely, certainly seemed to improve the rear stance a bit.

Anyone know if there are any issues using 25mm spacers thus increasing the track by 50mm, extra load on bearings etc or is it just like having 10" wide wheels on the back. I also presume this will help reduce body roll a bit.
