Wheels and Tyres for 924s query

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking about upgrading the wheels/tyres on my 1988 924s. Can anyone say:

1) What are the widest tyres that will fit on the standard teledial rims?
2) What is the largest size wheel that will fit on the car with low profile tyres?

Anyone got any notes of caution to share with regard to changing wheel and tyre sizes on the 924s??

Many thanks

I was told that I could go to a max of 215mm wide on my 1986 924s. This was on teledials, I didn't actually do it as I sold the car before any tyres wore out.

As for the max rim diameter, well you can easily work out your overall diameter (something like 195/60 R15 from memory)and providing you dont exceed that you are ok, but I would suggest that you keep the car as original as possible, I think the teledials look the best 924 wheels ever cast even though they are small (15") by 2004 standards.
