I saw a car yesterday a 3.2s that had it's engine replaced by porsche in 2009, should all the IMS/RMS problems have been sorted by then????

I would say in theory yes but (there's always a but!) there's nothing stopping something happening again as with all things mechanical. Has the car done many miles since it's engine swap?

I would say get an inspection to look for any obvious signs if you are interested in purchasing. It can be difficult to really know unless you bite the bullet and do proactive maintenance on these components for ultimate piece of mind [:)]

The car has done 50k since the rebuild in 09. It was a new porsche supplied engine so I assumed it must have all the upgrades etc.
