Capsule Review
Some of the best miles we've turned were in Boxsters. The wee Porsche offers sharp steering, slick handling, and sweet sounds, and rotates around its center-mounted engine with a safecracker's precision. Other ragtops have more luxury, but the line for drivers forms behind the Boxster.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

It really makes you wonder where the money actually goes?

Even allowing for currency fluctuations the UK buyer has always been taken to the cleaners

Its a bloody Travesty, Americans are real savvy punters. We just roll over and take it up the a**e []

Simple,

Stop buying new porkers until they give the same warranty.

If sales dropped 15-25% Porsche would get the message.

Re pricing it would be interesting to see if there is any real diff in the 'pre-tax' price.

Regards

Kevin

Porsche's target market is now China and India ..

Expect USA and Europe to become the "second" and "third" markets ...

Per latest SMMT figures sales are down by 1/3rd, no sign of a change in warranty policy [:(]

Well at today's exchange rate those prices would be around £32K, and all US prices are quoted before sales tax (which varies from state to state) - so if you take the UK base price of £33,700 and remove VAT you get a pre-tax price of £28,680 - so it would kind of imply we get the cars cheaper, even if you fork out an extra £1K per year for warranty....only when you add Gordon's cut does it become more expensive.

Hey guys, you think we get ripped off here, check out the prices in Australia and divide by 2 for pounds! www.porsche.com.au A Boxster is roughly the price of a 997 in the UK!!!!!!!!
When I moved over from Sydney to London in 05, I bought a new 987 straight away and it was cheaper than a Saab 9-3 Cab back home! I am now on my 3rd Porsche, would have only been a dream in Oz.

The Yanks have got it even better but always have, they get lots of privileges with trade etc. They always get the best deals with EU deliveries as well to take back home etc.

I'm well chuffed.
