Where can I get a 3litre Crank???

Does anybody know where I can get hold of a 3 litre crank???
May even buy a short block

Hi Tom (are you Tommo from Rennlist?)

I'm guessing you are because of the nature of your request [:D]

So that will be two Turbos on this forum aiming for three litres this year [8D], we'd love to see your car at the Rolling Road day that I'll be organising when the Spring gets here

Yes it is me...........
Don't seem to get many Brits on Rennlist these days, although saying that it seems in the US most of the 951 guys are about 18!!! God help the insurance companies!!!!!
Yes I am looking to build a 3.0 this year. Going to go the full hog, Accralyte Pistons, Sodium filled Valves Titanium retiners, you get the drift........
The intention 500bhp at 4500rpm with similar figures for torque.
I have done my mathamatics and it is quite possible so now just have to prove it!!!!
Let me know when the rolling road day is, I'll be there

I know of an S2 engine block thats just been overhauled by Perfect Bore Andover. I'm sure the crank is available also. This is an excuse for me to call the chap. I'll be in touch on this if you are still interested.

Funny i was just thinking that a few days ago. Given the price you can buy a decent 944T over there no wonder. $6 will get you a nice one
, bloomin £4k. Thats just not fair, then factor in the reduced parts prices. I have spend close to £16k on mine. If i did that in the US i could have had a 500bhp monster...

Well at least we dont have to worry about being shot but some 16 year old pimple clad redneck with issuse about his father!!
 
Must admit I have seriously been considering (or dreaming about?) importing one from the US for trackdays, I would trailer it and not have to worry about trackday insurance anymore. Combined with a holiday, maybe taking in a rennlist meet it could be fun.
Definately wont be this year though [:(]

Andy if you could find out that would be great, I would buy the complete bottom end if it was reasonable.
