Where do I buy a red hood?

After seeing the RS60 photos posted on here, the obvious question is where can I buy a red hood? I've long thought this would look the part and the RS60 confirms it: anyone got any ideas?

I've got a broked element on my 987 and Porsche Hatfield said the the replacment screen only comes with a new hood at apprx £2000 spondoolies !!! I'd keep you old one, or give it to me ....[;)] ... then you can have your red one ....!!!

Actually I'm surprised at how inexpensive a new hood is; following the link above (thanks Mark), BAS will sell you a new mohair hood in a choice of colours and it even has a glass rear screen - price is £499. Not sure if this includes vat and the big downside is that you have to fit yourself. I'm not sure how difficult this is but that seems like a reasonable price.

I'm going to BAS in a couple of weeks to have one fitted - they charge extra for fitting of course, but this is being done under insurance (my roof got slashed last year in Corsica - it's taken a while to sort out).

BAS do have distributors all over the country - who also fit. Prices vary though.

It will be interesting to hear how it goes Mark as I also am budgeting for one this year.
Pop in and see us on the way back! [:)]

I will be interested to see if they install a new inner liner or salvage the original one.
I look forward to hearing how you get on Mark.
