Where do you go to get your car allignment sorted?

If it's full geometry you need then Chris at Centre Gravity is very highly recommended. There is usually a bit of a waiting list though.

+1 Chris@CG transforms the ride and is a perfectionist when it comes to getting things spot on. I'd pay that little bit extra and take it there rather than take it to the OPC from personal experience.

Yep another vote for CoG IMO - OPC will set up to factory range but that is quite a wide band - Chris will ask you what you want from the car and set it up accordingly with test drive before and after
Worth a 1/2 day if you live some distance as I do but want it right

Robin at Ninemeisters in Warrington. Transformed mine after it had been in the hands of various others ( no names due to Forum rules! ).

Nice people there as well.

I went to Auto Dynamics in Sheffield, and got these numbers.

Anyway, the bloke said the n/s/r camber bolt was free, but at the limit of adjustment. He also said all the bushes look fine. Is there a common problem/component that could be damaged from impact?

Ta. :)

The limit of camber bolts adjustment means you can't ever get much negative camber without modification - either slotting the existing holes or by fitting an adjustable monoball top mount.

or by GT3 LCA's or after market arms :)

I believe this is what MrDemon is referring to:

you can fit oem GT3 parts

most seem to go for RSS parts.

or as pointed out Elephant Racing do parts

Just to point out that for general road use, using Elephant (or RSS?) control arms may seriously compromise refinement (particularly road noise) due to the fact that spherical bearing joints replace the compliant rubber bushes in the OEM parts.

I only use it on the road. Would new rear springs make much of a difference? I have no idea on the age of mine but its 2001 and has done ~100k miles.

Dave,

The springs tend to sag slightly with age, so new springs could reduce the negative camber. Impossible to say by how much unless you can compare the free lengths but it could be just sufficient to bring your LHR wheel back into tolerance.

Jeff

I will get 2x rear springs and a n/s/r bbj and take it back. And then give up! :D

Also it goes slightly to the left. What could cause that?

Did you have this problem before the alignment check Dave? If not, I'd go back to Auto Dynamics and get them to re-check the alignment as it sounds like a tracking issue; although the figures look OK. I'd also double-check that there's no play in ball-joints, bushes and bearings too.
