Where should this pipe go?

Question from member:

I have a Porsche 924 Turbo, series 2, and i would like to know where the pipe going to the bottom of the fuel distributor goes to.
In my vehicle it goes into the top of the purilator. (What on earth is one of those?-Paul) This is where a pipe from the top of my airbox should go to though.
On the top of my airbox someone before i bought it many years ago blanked it off with a plastic cap.
I only found out about this when looking at a picture of someone else's car with the bonnet up in a book.
So to some it all up, i have a pipe that should go into the top of my airbox, from the purilator, going into the fuel distributor instead.
If i take this pipe, and put it back into my airbox, where does the pipe then go from my fuel distributor.

Fisrt you need to ascertain if what you saw under the bonnet was standard. My series two with a very low milage, and as far as I know unmolested, has the same.
My series one has an arrangement similar to the one in your post, I think.
Porsche did change the crankcase breating significantly, and the blanked of stub may be due to the need to keep costs down by using the same airbox for the SII engine. Paul, Purolator is a company that manufactures filters (http://www.pureoil.com/)
