Hi guys
I am rebuilding the whole rears suspension so torsion bar etc all off! Where is best place to buy bolts. I felt sick last time I ordered bolts from Porsche as they were a rip off.

Search for 'fasteners' on Yell.co.uk for your local area. Your local fasteners company will stock most of the universal/off-the-shelf sizes and tensile strengths you need at pence per item rather than pounds.

For some jobs on our cars the fasteners are bespoke so Porsche is the easiest place to source.

Every town has a supplier on most industrial estates. Or try people like Cromwell or Brammer. If they don't have what you need they can order it in. Never by bolts from Porsche!!! If you are still stuck after trying all them let me know what ones you can't get and I'll see what I have at work. I have hundreds on the shelf. Send me an SAE and I'll post them to you.

I can get quite o food selection of bolts from a place in town but I snapped the large bolt on the front mount of the torsion bar. It has a long sleeves section and wasn't sure if it was Porsche only. Last bolts I bought were flywheel bolts which are spline drive and narrow so I thought Porsche or supplier only

I live almost next door to an agricultural engineers, they have racks of 'stuff' so I wander in with a component or bolt or whatever and say "I need x to fit this" and they go and rummage
