Where to buy caliper backing plates ?

I don't know which parts Thom is looking for but Darren is talking about the steel plates attached to the caliper by screws to prevent the ends of the pads wearing the alloy and which are not optional. Mike is talking about the stick on anti-squeal/chatter backings for the back of the pads.
Personally I use the OE anti chatter items because even though they may be far more expensive that generic ones they are still only about £10-£15 for the job and they locate the pads better. I just prise them off the pads to change then slip them out and replace them if necessary. I believe they can be used more than once usually anyway.

That's also what I was talking about. They're actually called "spring plates" in PET.
Sorry for my lack of vocabulary [8|]
Thank you, flamingeye.
