Does anyone have any suggestions where I could go to get a cigarette lighter and boot cover clip (both currently missing) for my new S2?

The wheel centers could do with a recon too... recommendations?

Your local OPC (Official Porsche Centre) can still get you all the parts for your 944. Some of them take longer than others:-

968 cubby box - 6 months
Water hard pipes - 2 months

Most parts are available within two days however, even if they have to come from Germany. Some (very few) new parts are pleasingly reasonable, others are spectacularly expensive, so get a quote first. £6 for an exhaust bolt anyone?

Wheel centres? Easier to DIY or buy a new set.

The bits -speak to Simon Butterworth or Paul Clare at Porsch-Apart -mention my name!!

I always use Prestige Salvage in Leeds 0113 243 1392 and ask for Neil.

They'll be able to sort you out with just about anything and I know he's got 2 S2's in at the moment as well as an S a 968 and a Lux, as I've been down there today.

I managed to pick up a:

Front Lower Arm (as my ball joint is worn), 4 wheel centres (with the proper crest), a glove box lid (as my hinges were broken), a cassette tray (as my Bro broke the hinge), the four switches from the centre console (as mine were slightly faded), the dash trim that holds the clock (as mine had a crack in it), a towing eye, a front towing eye cover and a MAF sensor - £200 the lot [:D]

It's already on the car - I was having trouble with the car not ticking over properly when hot, and the car had started cutting out going down the box after a long run - in fact it did it on the way to Leeds. It's all fine again now [:D]

Think I probably meant a VAF though [8|]

It's very sad [&o] - taken on the phone so not the best quality

Cheers for all the advice guys, very helpful. Been away from the office for the past week or so, so apologies for the silent treatment!

Melv - when DIYing the wheel centres, what sort of paint should I use - enamel modelling paint?

I DIY'd mine using gold, black and red Humbrol from my sons Airfix modelling box. I painted the whole thing gold first then touched in the red and black seperately. Finally spray over the whole thing with a clear lacquer to protect it (from my wifes craft box this time)

Excellent. Now I can say all those teenage years spent in a darkened bedroom "touching up my miniatures" wasn't for nothing.

I've been using PH Sports Cars, Shardlow, Derbyshire for the past 8 years.
They got a warehouse of bits 'n pieces and they're very friendly. Plus they're only 10 miles from home!
