Which battery?

After some starting problems with my 944S2 documented elsewhere on here it finally looks like the battery is a main cause. I've fitted the new 75amp one from my 911 (exactly same size, fitting etc) and its a different animal, turns quickly and starts on the button. This battery was one I needed in a hurry, got it from my local motor factors with a 3yr warranty, so I wondered what batteries we all had fitted and what we recommended and what size amps?

I've looked all through the manual/maintanence guide and theres no mention of what size the battery is!

I tend to get Bosch Silver batteries from ECP. Works for me and cheaper than Halfrauds!

I have a 70Ah Varta Blue Top (same battery as a Bosch Silver, it just has different branding) that I bought from Tayna. I think it's known as a Black Dynamic battery now as the casing seems to have changed on the website. According to my little Tech Specs book, the original battery was 63 Ah. Anything around the 70 Ah range should be man enough!

Dunno what battery is in mine. It's the same one that was in there when I bought the car 3 years ago, and still works very nicely ... Oli.
