Which Discs

Hi all,

I have acquired a pair of front calipers from a 944 turbo, which I believe are a direct bolt on replacement to the standard (smaller) calipers. Can anyone tell me what discs I have to use with these calipers, and if it is a straightforward job??

Thanks Don

Alas they are not a straight bolt on job, you will need an adaptor that converts the way they bolt on. The discs are bigger, 944Turbo/968 MO30 discs will fit as will 928 S4 discs. I can't remember the right size, but can check later.

Peter,

Thanks for that information. If it means buying adaptors plates, plus new discs, I think I will just continue with the standard brakes for the present, as they have all the stopping power I need at the moment.
It's probably a more sensible option to spend the money on getting the belts changed, as they are about due.

Thanks
Don

The discs are not actually much larger in Dia, 304mm vs. 298mm. They are however much thicker and have a much larger pad area.
