which exhaust

fancy changing exhaust system and cats to race cats and good exhaust for performance. Ideally not something that will cause noise problems. Cargraphic system looks interesting or www.scart-exhausts.com look good value. Any experience appreciated. Once fitted I thought a remap would make sense

I've got a set of 100 cells cat and the CG boxes, sounds good and never had any trouble with noise test on trackdays. Will get the car re-mapped at some point to get the most out of it, but the car is not exactly short on power at the moment.

I have the SCART system fitted on my RS. According to Steve at Jaz who ordered it and fitted it, the quality of the system is very high. Personally I'm very pleased with it - great sound and as well as looking very good, the profiled exhaust tips fit well in the cut outs of the rear PU. I went straight from the stock system to the SCART so little to personally compare against.

Plenty of discussion about exhausts before - I think most recently when Mick first bought his car - so be worth searching back !

Cheers.

thanks - does anyone have any comparisons of power gains on the scart or CG ? Mick - could I ask where you bought yours - haven't tried to get a good quote yet

Hi Julian, are you going to Silverstone? if so come over for a chat, I can help you out with what ever CG system you
desire.

I had a look at the Scart system at Brands Festival in 2005. They are superbly made, some of the best stainless welding I have seen, even when I was in the pharmaceutical construction industry. having said that, their racing stuff is a whole league ahead - welded in an oxygen-free environment. The steel they use is also a better grade than everyone else uses (well it was 2 years ago).

To me it gets full marks.

Thanks for all the info. Riviera I will be at Silverstone Sunday, hopefully see you there. Interesting to know if anyone has power comparisons, scart sound like good value

Hi Julian, see if you can get a price for what cg system you want, ie sports boxes ( 2 options ) tuv approved and the export boxes, the later being slightly louder, 100 cell race cats, and extractor manifolds with or without heat exchangers.
see you Sunday for a chat.
