I once managed to send my mate (a sparkie by trade) to our local Spar for a "solar-powered torch"
Not only did he return clueless to my gag, but had waited 10 minutes for the lady behind the counter to check out in the stock room for him!!!

Funny until someone actually invented one.
Heard a tale once about an apprentice in a garage that was told to top up a VW Beetle's radiator. Filled the engine up with water via the oil filler. One knackered car!

Yes, they asked me for a glass hammer and a sky hook....[&:]
More worrying, I was put in charge of plugging every bulb into a threadbare holder to test it....[8|]
Take care there - you don't want to be rounding those things off.
