Which SS exhaust best for a 911 SC?

I was just wondering if anyone could help. I am considering upgrading my SC exhaust and heat exchangers, but I still want it to sound like a 911 - just a bit deeper and louder with more bhp. Are any of the Dansk systems good or too noisy? I see that the Porsche Shop and Design 911 both sell systems and separate units but cannot find anyone else. Hayward and Scott seem excellent but a lot of money for the value of my car.

Julian if you have no joy on here you could try impactbumpers.com as there's quite a bit of knowledge in depth on there and I expect there are a few who will have swapped for non-standard exhausts.

Yes, register on the impactbumpers site.

You'll find lots of recommendations for Turbo Thomas - the search is your friend.

(Apologies mods - possibly not the best form to publicise another web site)

I had SSI exchangers with a Dansk two into one silencer fitted last year. The layout was changed to to the older style format that does away with the crossover pipe. The upshot is that it sounds like.... Music. A gentlemanly burble when pottering about town, but when you give it a little welly it's like Pavarotti singing Wagner.

I'm new to 911ing, but the chaps that fitted it are not. In their opinion it sounds like a "real" 911. I take that to mean 1970s style.

Apparently two in / two out is even nicer, but that means chopping bodywork a bit to accommodate the second outlet pipe.

Oh, and a bonus. Apparently this back-dating of the exhaust gives you a few more BHP and all kinds of good petrol-head stuff. No doubt someone else can explain. Freer revving?
