Which Xenon HID Unit?

Hi, I would like to do a DIY Xenon upgrade this xmas and decided to go with a kit from Hid4U. Once at their website I had to decide which kit to get and to do that it seems I need to know which bulb type I have. From a bit of browsing on Rennlist it seems I have an H1 bulb, but the lady I spoke to at Hids4U said she thought mine would be an H4. So now, I'm confused!? Anyone here able to help me.

I'd like to get a HID kit for low/high beam (do I need 2 kits!?), but the bulbs seem very different when looking at my headlights, so not sure if this is possible. If not then just the low kit will do and I'll try and get some bulbs that won't look too yellow for the high beam. Any suggestions for these (LED bulbs?) would be much appreciated :)

I have a 1995 993 Carrera 2

Thanks for all your help guys!

H1 it is is. Don't bother with doing the main beam as its un-necessary. I have their kit and its fine with just the dip changed. The main comes on instantly and complements it very well. Changing both will give you no flashing facility and, in my experience, the effect with HID on main beams is not so effective. My only issue is I am a bit disappointed by the actual brightness of the dip beams but this may be that the bulbs are far too blue. It is still a massive improvement over the original - just not as big a difference as on my 964.

I had the HIDs4U Pilot kit installed on my old 993 (the car is in their gallery), and the performance on dipped beam was brilliant. I went for the 4500K bulbs which are the brightest in terms of lumens. 6000K bulbs are too blue and actually produce less lumens compared to the whiter 4500K bulb.

Had the HID conversion some 4 years now but on low beam only - as the guys say, with high and low done you lose flash facility. It is possible to have both high and low on the 964 with one kit because one bulb does both but with the 993 you need 2 kits and finding room for the two ballasts per side would be difficult. 4500 bulbs are definitely the best option because they give you the brightest beam. Definitely a great upgrade over the original candles!
