Whining Nose

boggie

New member
Hi All,
I have a strange noise eminating from my 996TT. It is a fairly high-pitched whine from the front of the car, not very loud but definately noticeable and new. It is hard to identify exactly where it is coming from but opening the bonnet and listening up around the bulkhead, near the battery, it seems the loudest.
The only recent changes I have made to the front of the car, are the fitting of a new high-tone horn and 2x new "Mahle Original" air conditoning condensor radiators complete with a new dessicator a couple of weeks ago. The car has been run a couple of times since then (i.e. moved in and out of my garage) and I am yet to have the system re-gassed. The noise only apeared today and does not disappear if I switch off the Air Con (snowflake switch) or completely turn off the unit by pressing fan- until the display states "Off".

Any thoughts please?
Thanks,
B

I was afraid you might say that.... It's a £500 part[:-]
I drained the tank to remove the old fuel when I began the recommissioning process and put some fresh fuel in, but it only has about 3L in there. I might chuck another 5L can of premium in there, just in case it is scavenging.
Thanks
