Out of curosity, who here still has the original Blaupunkt stereo in there car?or still has one put aside.

Was the original stereo in the 964 a Blaupunkt? Blaupunkt Toronto?

Just a question raised by my uncle who said when looking at most of the Porsches at a show, he hardly sees the original stereo in the cars.

Norm

Not quite what you need Norm, but I have the instruction manual for the original Blaupunkt stereo in the binder of stuff that I got with the car.

Come to think of it I also have the manual for the last Blaupunkt stereo that the car came with (which then broke). I must have a clean out at some time!

I still have my Blaupunkt stereo and instructions etc....

Not fitted to the car but i keep it as its part of the cars history.

Same here - original and still ok for me!

I can't recall exactly but there were 3 different types fitted, maybe 4 if you count the cd changer.

Me too, original Blaupunkt and manual. Hardly ever have it switched on, cus i perfer the sound of the engine [:D]

Me too Steve, mine had a Kenwood! Now who wants to sell there original radio to me? Which model Blaupunkt is it?

Go for a Becker Norm. Standard looking but great sound quality. They may not look as "period" as the original Blaupunkt, but at least they were fitted to 993 and later :)

May do Chris.......point me in the right direction! Wat cost are we talking?

Anyone got a Blaupunkt Toronto? Uncles looking for one!

Norm,

eBay seems to be the place to find a second hand Porsche OE spec Becker. The ones with built-in Sat Nav arent an easy fit though as they require a wire to be fitted to the guage cluster (speedo I think) from memory. You should be able to pick a Becker up for about £120-160.

Yeah my uncle will be made up....send pic to Koonshum@aol.com or phone pic it to me on 07748773288.

thanks

Norm
