...the race in question...

Getting our RSs back on the road and out of the clutches of those evil spannermen.

How's yours doing John?

As Martin Luther King said, 'I have a dream', but mine involves us finally meeting up in a pair of RSs for a trackday this year at Bedford.

[:D]

hey domster , why don't you keep a low profile on such embarassing issues as a non functioning RS ?
I am gutted not to be able to do the 27 March Oulton event......I know that if I am in Cheshire that weekend it will be bad for the morale , so am going down to the smoke to join a 'Churchillian' weekend of going to Chartwell and cabinet war rooms supported by bottles of claret and brandy - no cigars though.
I like the idea of bedford , not much tyre wall or armco to nudge, but probably after May. I am preparing for the mother of all invoices between now and then [] , plus a bit more Don Palmer [:D]

I am gutted I am missing the driving at Oulton as well - but I will be there; will spectate and pester 9M and friends for rides. Plus I can run off with Melv's Merkin when he's not looking.

We should defo do a bedford day later in the year when the cars are fighting fit. Being off road is no shame for these beasts - remember what was said in bladerunner: 'the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long".

Doing any CPA days?

Must book a sesh with Don P at some point - good chap by many accounts. Have a 1st Lotus one lined up in May.

All the best and maybe meet at the Grapes again soon?

Yup, Des, it'll be my first sesh with Andrew. Doing it with 3 mates.

Looking forward to it!

Cheers
Dom

If it's North Weald, you want to "soften up the RS" if you can, let a bit out of the tyres, loose and undulating surface in parts, tarmac kicking up a bit....not Sunday best tyres either......however loads of fun and nowhere to ding the baby......plenty of spinning guaranteed........oh by the way watch out if any of your mates have an auto/928.........the timing chains don't like it! Let us know how you all got on.........
