Who's brake ducts are best

My car has a slightly corroded fog light, so I figure it needs a set of RS style brake ducts as they are cheaper and look better (IMO). Are they all the same or is one supplier better made / more like the genuine article than others? I assume I don't even want to know what the genuine ones cost, but from a quick Google of the main suspects prices seem to vary between £59 and £89 the pair.

I bought some from ebay and they were bad fitting and rough. They were alot of work for the paintshop but look good now. See my avatar.
My advice is to try to get well made ones, ask for referrals, or guarantee that they'll fit correctly.
PS: I agree, they look better than the multi-lights of the 964.

Thanks - the "big" name I didn't look at...

I bought a set on eBay last night as they were cheap, but the only ones and about to end, but I think I'll buy the £44 ones if they need no prep and just relist the eBay ones to move them on.

my friend bought fiberglass ones from ebay, one problem he had was there was no mounting pin on the side so when he screwed them on they fell down on the inside till they touched the bumper, he had to remove them and glue a bolt on to hold them straight.

I'm not sure what they look like, but I don't need fog lamps and I not generally a fan of Techart "styling", so I'll probably pass on that option.

When you say a lot more you aren't kidding, this was my first thought, after the MA Shaw varieties aren't made for the 964......Techart are as they say, " having a laugh"

Kevin.

Fibreglass from Ebay and a lot of prep, then fitting a side connection to ensure they don't drop as previously quoted....

I thought I posted a reply yesterday - but I guess I didn't hit OK or something.

Anyway I decided to wait until the eBay ones turned up to see what they are like and I have to say I'm quite impressed. They are easily as good as the FG bits I have had for my 944 (way, way better than the bonnet). Obviously they need the peg that various people have mentioned, but really they are quite smooth and free of surface imperfections.
