Lo all, am just wondering who from the fine 'Midlands to Southern' crowd of 944 folk who is doing what events this year , it would be nice to know that your not going to be a lone 944'er at these events.

I am thinking of

Cotswold Rally
Silverstone
Goodwood
and potentially any other good events that 944 folk attend in numbers and enjoy ? ? [:D]

Regards Mas

Why not come on the Lincolnshire Rally on the 18th July 2010. Would love to see some 944s there.

See Lincolnshire Region R4 for details

Paul M go on get the lads together and join in.

Big one will be Porsche and Polo, themed around our "middle years" models. Massively bigger than last years, and over two days. Frontrunner will, as always, be a big Register event. We always try to have lunch one day at Silverstone Classic, and there will be plenty of people at the two other National events, Modern at Silverstone and Classics at the Castle. We'll be doing another Porscheshop open day, just can't decide when yet.

Sorry Paul , Frontrunner what is that I've read it again a nd am I being slow or is it an actual event [:)]

Do 944 folk not do the Cotswold Rally then ??? , seems ideal

Cheers Mas

Yes quite alot of us do Cotswold but I believe its now fully booked. Frontrunners is essentially a mini Costwolds Rally but for front engined cars only, its been moved from April to October this year.

Will certainly go to Silverstone and P&P again - plenty of 944's there each year. We have in the past done runs to Goodwood for one of their breakfast meets and then on down to the South Coast and Beachy Head, didn't happen last year but I was going to suggest it again for this. It would be an "unofficial" gathering much like the Rutland Water meet. I would suggest that the Super car Sunday meet on 6th June would be ideal for that if folk were interested.

Loads of us on the Cotswold, of course, but it's all sold out now.

Frontrunner is the annual get together of the front-engined cars, now including the Panamera. See the "events" sticky for details. Please, all of you, let me know ideas for events or what we can do as a Register at things like Frontrunner or Porsche and Polo.

Bugger was looking at doing the Cotswold rally as our first rally in the 944 provided it was running by then as a pre-cursor to the Mille Miglia in June on Scallyrally.
Seeing as its only up the road and have been a couple of times Castle Combe is going to get a visit in the 944.
Can't believe bug ger is blanked out?[8|]

ok, you lot, back on thread!

I'm going to cotswold rally and precott (8/9 may) for certain. several other event clash with summer hols though.
should be at front runner too.
and silverstone so long as im not on hols

A good idea we have followed in the past is to note the events and dates you are going to in your signature, then everyone can see at a glance no matter what thread you are looking in [:)]

Doing the Cotswold Rally, like to go to Prescott, hoping to get to Silverstone on the Sunday and after that willsee!
Mike
Edit - Porsche and Polo too

Quiet year for you, then, judging by your sig? [:D][:D][:D][:D]

Get LIL out to something, I miss the sound of her passing on the motorway.

This year I will be going to the Le Mans Classic, not exactly a PCGB event but I expect a few Porsche's in attendance, I really enjoyed Porsche and Polo last year so a two day event sounds even better, not been to the Frontrunner meet yet but would like to include it this year.

Then theres always the Porsche Festival meet, a bit contraversal last year, although I enjoyd it alot, any ideas what is happening this year?

There's no single event, the three big ones are effectively three National events. My only worry is that people think that, for instance, Modern at Silverstone is only for the modern Registers. All three are for everyone, just that each is themed around one era for displays etc.

I think it's a great idea; less formal than one huge event that can never please everyone, different locations with more to do, less risk of clashing with holidays etc. Many people will be doing all three, why not? [:)]

The whole idea of my posting this topic was in the hope that we would all know who is going to be where club events or non club events for me. I had no idea people put it in their sigs , being a newbie .

Sounds a good idea [;)]

I will be doing Silverstone Classic but too far to take two cars so will be in the 911.

Oop here in Yorkshire our regional concours is massive, held at Harewood House and always gets 400+ Porsches turn up, will do that in both cars. Sadly being the new RO not sure how much fun the event will be. Anyway it's well worth a trip up.

We also have our own Tulip Rally around Yorkshire Wolds, that will be the 911 and we will be doing the Lincolnshire R4 Wolds Rally and probably in the 944 for that one.

Might consider the Front Runner, depends on time and ability to convince the wife.
