Hi All,

Well... some of you were sniggering when I suggested travelling down to North Africa in my 1988 924s - told me to carry a trailer of spares or travel with a mechanic etc..

Well... after covering 4400 miles in 3 weeks I have made it back. My 924s performed in the twisty alpine roads of Switzerland, Italy and France, the mountain passes of Corsica and the Pyrenees.

It only needed petrol and half a litre of oil (strangely used up mostly during 130+ MPH motorway driving and not the hillclimbing stuff). Actually it ran beautifully... the only improvement I wish I had was air conditioning!!!

If anyone is thinking of a long distance touring holiday in their 924 then I can strongly recommend it!!

Fantastic Mark, sounds like a lot of motoring fun [:)]

If you are able write a report about your trip and send it to Club Office (or me)

This is the kind of thing that we need in PP
