OK - maybe next time !
enjoy the C2S - I traded mine for the turbo a while ago and have missed it hugely.

Vimal, as someone who is contemplating emulating you with an 'upgrade' to a Turbo, can you please tell me specifically what you miss?
Thanks []

So which lucky people are taking delivery of a new Porsche on Thursday / this weekend and what Model / Colour / Spec have you chosen ?
Don't know about tomorrow, but there were 2 beautiful new GT3s down at OPC Reading today waiting to be picked up.
- One was black with black painted wheels
- The other was red with the light-weight Carrera GT style seats and red seat-belts.
Side by side, both looked stunning []

I certainly will if/when Vimal adds to my 'would-miss' list I have already (just from a 30 min TT test drive last summer):
- PSE sound (but correctable with aftermarket exhaust)
- No lag (much easier I find to accelerate smoothly out of corners when you don't have anything, followed by a big turbo surge!)
- Looks (although the TT is still growing on me)
- Hitting the rev limiter on the manual TT in no time and looking stupid
- The current lack of a convertible option
Things I liked more about the Turbo:
- 4wd (more grip in the wet and snow)
- The way the car 'hunkers-down' upon acceleration (the C2S nose just goes light on hard acceleration)
- The extra power (of course)
Would be good to hear experience comparisons of guys that actually have "˜lived' with both cars for a while though"¦

and me
997 turbo - basalt black with black interior, sport chrono and a few other things. Went to see it last weekend and saw 3 other black turbos also being prepared presumably for march delivery
Sorry, just 'clicked'.
Seems what you are probably missing is not currently having a 997 of any desciption until you pick up your new Turbo!
You're right - what i've been missing is not having a Porsche at all - I traded in my C2S last year and have been driving around in an old Audi since then!
I will provide a report on differences soon. Having done the Porsche driving experience the biggest immediate difference is of course the power - but as I'll be using the TT driving through central london every day not sure how much of that I'll notice on a day to day basis.
