Why can' t I post a message on the Track Day Forum?

I dunno Robbie [&:]

I' ve just sent a note to Jeff (Admin) to see if it was set up incorrectly or if it is read-only on purpose. I imagine it was a mistake because there will be plenty of track-only queries and that would seem the best place for them [:)]

Sophia in the club office set this thread up and made it read-only - if you want to get it changed please ask Sophia

I would have thought a more interactive approach to the Track Day forum would be more beneficial to all " Trackies" and potential " Trackies" .

Is there some concern it might be used to promote non-PCGB track days?

If so, why should this be of concern as it is still providing a service to the members?

For infromation of all concerned the following email just sent to Sophia who is Track Day Forum admistrator.

Dear Sophia

I posted a message with the above subject to the 944 forum. Perhaps you would like to look at it.

I am really asking if users can have write access to this forum to discuss the various aspects of track days which are not register or region specific.

Thanks for yor time and efforts

Regards

To keep you in the picture the response I have recieved from Sophia is that apart from the fact that there is no moderator there are other issues under consideration.

I have offered to be moderator if those issues are resolved.

The way PCGB runs it' s track day booking system I doubt any two people who know one another will ever get on the same day at the same time.

However, I have a cunning plan............

I was going to say watch this space, but what I actually should say is watch the other space..............
