Just like to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Shaun & I have just bought Des Sturdee,s 964 RS. What a fantastic car! have just got home with it after collecting it from Paul @ Gt Classics, obvioiusly drove the longest route as possible including going up & down the same stretch of road several times as it was just perfect to exploit some of the cars many talents. Now I cannot wait to get it on the track, hopefully staying out of the gravel as I have read somewhere that it has visited the beach a few times!
Anyway heres looking forward to meeting you guys in the near future.

Hi Shaun. Congratulations, lovely car. Many of us know the car so we will keep an eye out for you or let us know when you are out and about and we can say hello.

See you around sometime.

Regards

Hi Shaun
Enjoy the RS mate, guess I won't be getting your Ducati as PX for me to use this summer ?

Allan

thanks Allan. Sorry mate going to try to hang onto it for a while. I have told a friend of mine who is interested in an RS about your car. Having said that my brother loved your car as did I but when saw white one (1st choice of colour) just had to go for it.

Shaun

....Shaun, welcome, you'll enjoy.....but just remember to take off the headlamp covers before driving at night [:D]

Hi Shaun

Good on you chap.

Bout time you got those unreliable ferrari things out of you system.....at least now you can drive this car without fear of not getting home.

White......first choice?.....The only choice....Worth much more in white.

see ya

Thanks guys looking forward to meeting you all ! Lets hope so Lee btw why did you not tell me about the 360 when I bought from you ! but it did not do too bad, got me to monaco & back including going at speeds that can only be unprintable!

Shaun

Cos you weren't a mate then....And any way you were a man on a mission....never like to get in the way of a man and his passion!!!!!!!!.

Congratulations on your purchase, that is a great car...it has the advantage for an RS of not have spent much time on the track.....plenty of time in the bunker though![:D]

Congratulations Shaun. I'm envious!! I've been on the lookout for a 964rs for months, but haven't found anything suitable/within budget.

Paul - I'm relying on you to come up with something before I pull all my hair out![&:]

thanks guys it really is a nice one am enjoying it immensely. Tat y dont you look at the red 1 for sale with paul at Gt Classics or Allans (uk trucks ) car. They seem to be the nicest ones currently available

I have had a good look at and driven the red car at GT Classics and it is very nice indeed. I nearly bought that car last year, definitely worth giving Paul a call if you haven't seen it.

Regards

To be honest Mel did not bother with it because wanted non power steering car & am glad made that choice. Looks quite nice car though if you can live with lady penolope colour seats!

I have seen the car, it is in fantastic order. Current owner had it for 8 years and bought a GT3 (he'll be sorry).

I actually thing the colour is quite cool - dogs bo*&ocks red I think they call it.

ORIGINAL: Yoda
- dogs bo*&ocks red

I favour 'Monkey Bum Red' myself.....[:D]

Apparently, it's only got 26,000 miles on the clock and has been described as 'immaculate'....although my search for an RS some four years ago brought the term 'immaculate' (torn rear carpet, over spray on dash, new FNS wing, poor finish to inner wing -yeh, right....) and 'VGC' into disrepute!! So I gave up, and then along came Cuppie -but that's another story......

Know exactly what you mean Mel I went to look at an RS following being told immaculate & no replacement panels only to find off side rear wing repaced with standard 964 panel & not fitted very well, near side rear wing replaced stone chips everywhere & so on! What a waste of time, went on the bike as well & was freezing my bo*****s off not pleased I can tell you.
