Wi-Fi hotspot

I have just bought a 2022 C2 and cannot connect the Wi-Fi hotspot.

i understood that this service was free for the first 2 years, but as the 2nd owner it’s not transferable.

Any thoughts or guidance on this would be great

My understanding is that to have any generic internet access throughout the car (which is what the WiFI hotspot provides) you need to activate and subscribe to the Data Pack from the Porsche Connect Shop. This is like 18ukp a month from memory, includes roaming across all of Europe, and it is basically a 4G tariff for the integrated SIM.

in the older cars you could instead insert your own SIM and override all this … cheaper … but the newer cars (I have a 2021 C4S) no longer have the external SIM slot.

By the way in the Connect Shop, and you need to set up the online account and register the car, there are a large number of other services and packs. These are all provided for free for the first two years but then expire. Except for the Tracker Security service, … that is always paid for and to be renewed annually.

hope this helps.
