Wiered Voltmeter

Hi all, I posed recently after the Oil breather pipe on my 996 Cab let go and oil was liberated lilling the Alternator and getting everywhere, inc the Inlet side of engine. He Ho, that has all been fixed, and car is now fantastic again. We are left with a wiered problem,, at this stage I should add New Alternator fitted, At first turn of key voltmeter reads just under 12V, during start up voltmeter remains and after firing voltmeter also stays the same possible indicating not charging. Drive for 10mins switch off re start, exactly the same, Drive for at least 30mins, stop, switch off re start, First turn shows 12V, during start up, slight drop to 11V, after firing, Voltmeter reads just under 14V. At all times the correct charge appears to be happening ( measurements at Battery taken all fine). It seems as though something that is fed via the Ignition Circuitry is makiing and breaking. I should add that it does not matter how long the first journy is I have driven 4hrs+ the voltmeter does not change until engine switched off and restarted. Hope this not too confusing, as you can tell we are. Is there a sensor or relay or something that could be tested to try to find the cure. Image

Update .... Probllem diagnosed.

The car is charging correctly, and the issue is a stickiing stepper motor of the Voltmeter. >>>> Cure, leave alone and hope it gets better or a lot of money spent on a replacement Dashpod,. Image
