Will it fit in the back of a 944?

I am always amazed at how large doors and wings and whatnot are when you try to fit them in the boot of any car.

*NB: this is just a wild guess, and should not be taken as sound advice under any circumstances.
There's always the option of reclining the passenger seat all the way back so that it rests on the folded-down rear seat. That gives you from the footwell all the way back to the hatch. I've fitted seven-foot-plus Christmas trees in over the last two years by that method.
Well of course there is that factor to bear in mind as well! In an S2 you have none of that troublesome boost, therefore much more space in the car. (It's quite bulky stuff - boost - or so I am told.)ORIGINAL: edh
I thought you were going to say I could fit them in an S2, but not a Turbo []

Could you remove the PU and "wear" the new one home? (cable tie the indicators to the Bumper Bar on the way there)

I reckon the front bumper might be a problem but the rest should go in okay & with luck you might get the front bumper to sit over the passenger seat as described above.

Take enough old blankets etc for padding.

1. Taking the front seats out is easy, but getting those s0dding bolts back in again is a pain in the bum!
2. Taking the back of the back seat out is fine if you have a ring spanner of the right size, but I am not sure it adds to the useful space. The folder-down back of the back seat does give a very useful long, flat loading bay, which you don't get if you remove the seat back completely. I do recall helping a friend move house (with the 944) about 3 or 4 months ago, and I regretted removing the back of the rear seat because the load space was larger but much less use-able.

I once used my turbo to transport home a 42" TV, glass stand to sit it on, and a DVD recorder in one trip! OK, I had to pass driving duties on to my wife as the front seats had to be moved forward.
