Will these alloys fit......................

Hi guys i have alloys that are ET65 rears, and ET52 fronts on my 993 C2.

I have a chance to buy a set of 996 turbo wheels that are ET45 rears and ET52 fronts.

both 18inch and the same J size

My question is i know there is a difference between the offsets on these to wheel sizes but how will the ET45 swheels sit on the car in relation too the arches.

i was led to believe the higher the ET the more they will stick out on the arches.

Anyway any help on this matter would be useful
all the best

The lower the offset the more they stick out.

The rears (ET45) will not fit your car.

I have 2S carrera with two sets of wheels,, original and a set of 996 turbo,, the 996 turbo wheels needed 7mm shims to sit correct on my car,, and standard 993 rims need 25mm spacers to fit the car,,,

if you fit 996 turbo rims to standard 993,,, front will be fine,, rears will sit out about 20mm more than the original wheels..... I have seen this on other cars,,,,, personally think they look to wide,, but others must think they look ok !

Hi,

I have personal experience of this, having originally bought a set of wheels from Design 911.

ET 45 will look stupid....and totally ruin the look of the car....they will stick out and look like something the Mexicans drive in California (Steve's quote at Jaz Porsche not mine!)

I changed the wheels after that to an original set of GT3 wheels at ET65 on the rears and it is perfect.

I think Lauris is correct: the rears will sit 20mm further out. This may look ok, depending on your viewpoint.
