Hi all,

I need some advice from the technical amongst you regarding wheels.
This follows on from my post re: Winter Tyres

I have a 2.9 Gen 2009 and want to put smaller tyres on for winter as my 19" rims are a tad wide for snow

My manual says smallest wheels that will fit are
Front 7J x 17 H2 55mm rim offset
Rear 8.5J x !7 H2 40mm Rim offset

Found these anyone know if the Rear at offset at 50mm will be ok ?

Considering they have 10mm less offset and the car can take wider rims I would expect them to fit without problem and having seen they are from Porschapart just ask them to confirm if they will fit a 987 before buying.

Not sure what size your brake calipers may be for clearance.

They do know their stuff.

The advert says that they will fit 986's up to 2004 - my guess is that they won't fit the 987, or ad would have stated that also.
However, check with Porsche-a-part

Porsche generally keep to their std hole spacing so it's just the concern on tyre clearance, the other thing that can catch someone out is usually that the brakes seem to get bigger with each generation which effects the inner wheel clearance, what tyres are you fitting?

One favourable thing about using winter wheels and tyres is that it gives an opportunity to check or refurb the summer set.
