Wind deflecter

I have just got a new car and the wind deflecter was missing ,have seen one advertisd on the Vertar site for £200 and before I buy one is it realy essential ,is there a lot off wind intrusion into the car,I know you loose the rear seats not a problem.it can be a bit cold in the neck as it is just now ,would this eliminate this .
 
It's not essential by any means, but I would say it is quite an effective deflector as they go.
If you're coming from a Boxster, it is much more effective deflector, but a bit fiddly to put on and take off.
 
You will pick a wind deflector up on e-bay much cheaper. US sellers call them windscreens or search 996 windschott for German sellers.
 
I would certainly recommend a deflector - I have one and it does make a considerable difference.

As Collie said, look around for one on eBay as you should be able to pick one up for around the £150 mark, and the sell it on when you sell your cab, and you should get your money back - makes it a zero cost accessory!
