Define affordable.

I got mine from Classic Additions for £179 + delivery (say £190, it was only a bit less). It' s quality kit and makes a hell of a difference though. Note you can' t use the rear seats with it in - makes no odds to me but does to some.

Hi Fen

Thanks for that mate, I saw their ad in the Porsche Post just after I started this string. Does it fit over the back seats then? Can you still put bags and stuff on the seats under the deflecter? (Thinking about when I am off to Le Mans) If you have a pic showing how to fit it etc, I' d appreciate it, also how easy is it to take off, cos I have 2 kids that are still small enough to go in the back and once a week, we all go out in it.

Let me know if you can mate.

Regards

Phil,

It is attached by brackets that fix to the top seat belt mounts and when it' s up it touches the back of the headrests. It also has a ' skirt' that velcro' s to the floor in front of the rear seat squabs. It folds down flat if you want it to, but it has to be up when you put the roof down otherwise it gets trapped under the fabric.

You can put luggage behind it no problem, but with the roof up you can' t get to the space behind the deflector.

The brackets are in two parts, held together by bolts with plastic knobs on so they can be undone by hand and they sell a storage bag so I guess they come out easily enough, although I haven' t taken mine out.

Obviously I only ever drive at 70 maximum, but I suspect that it makes such a huge difference that you could cruise for hours at say, 100 mph, without getting a cold shoulder and ear-ache from the buffeting you get as standard. Probably.

Send me an email and I' ll reply with pictures if you like.
