Wind stoppers on pop up headlights

Hello all,

I have been looking at modifying the bracket for the headlight assembly by cutting the wind stopper in order to make some room for a 6" cylindrical air filter, but it seems little can be done to keep a proper wind stopping function when cutting the original wind stopper.

Been wondering if someone on here had already successfully modified the wind stopper?

Thanks.

The trangular extension on the back of the lamp pods - the two pods are connected so you can get away with only one if you need the room.

Sure but if the pop up assembly is not properly blocked the rod assembly of the whole mechanism will be stressed and will loosen over time.

Try to cut off the wind stopper.

If it doesn't work and your headlights shake, buy the new Deutschnine fixed headlight kit [:D]

I cut off half the triangle on the back of my headlight and it allowed a lot more space in front of the coolant tank. When parked close to a wall with the lights up I could just about spot a bit of extra vibration from that headlight beam, but on the road it was absolutely fine.
