Wind whistle

I have a really irritating whistle coming from the heater area! The faster I go the faster/louder the whistle gets and I can't seem to stop it! I will be taking the fan etc apart soon to see if it is something in there but has anyone else experienced this before? I can't reduce it even if I shut the outside air coming in off?
