window lift switches

Anyone help with a little problem I have with window switches ? I've looked at the wiring diagram in the Hayes but can't seem to work it out.
The problem is, Both switches on the drivers door operate with no problem, However the passenger door switch will only lift the window, not make it drop! according to the wiring diagram the drivers door switch operates through the passenger switch! so why wont the passenger switch drop the window?.
Any ideas gratefully received.

The most common problem is with the switches, but lucky for us these are mendable (after a fashion) because you can strip them down and clean them up. I think there's a post on the 944 place next door about it.

Thanks for that, just looked up the 944 post, I've already taken the switches apart and cleaned them up so it looks like I'm on the hunt for some good 2nd hand switches.
