Recently my window has popped off of its runners, it will go up buy will not go down makes a sort of grinding noise, anybody had the joy of taking the door panel off ? any advice ? thanks

taken the door covers off, found out that one of the wires on the door mechanism has snapped anybody replaced one of these? can you buy just the wire or do you have to buy the whole thing ? thanks

Is this an electrical wire or an operating rod for the door handle?

Do you have a photo?

As you're Leicester way you could try calling PH Sportscars at Shardlow near J24 M1 01332799298 or 01332792086 and ask for Simon both part of the same business but the second is sometimes referred to as Kirkmans. Simon will be able to advise and fix probably has the part too. A very helpful chap.[;)]

Sounds like a window regulator cable has snapped - a very common problem. Like most cars, you have to but the complete regulator (£127.62 +VAT).

thanks for your reply's yes is the regulator cable on one side has snapped , just wondered if i could buy just the cable instead of the whole mechanism
