Windscreen out, yes or no

My windscreen has started to leak badly, so bad in fact that a normal garden hose pointed at the right spot will see water spary up inide on top of the dash.

So do I need to get the windscreen out to fix it properly by the opc, or do you think that this can be fixed with the screen in place with some suitable sealant by me?

BTW the screen squeaks like a good un so need to sort this out as well

thanks

What condition is the windscreen surround in? If the paint/metal is ok, then why not seal it yourself, chances are though if water has been getting in you may have some form of corrosion setting in. Ideally if this is the case you would want to get the screen out, repair the corrosion and fit a decent leak proof screen in....all down to the rust issue in my view.

You will have to have the screen out to seal it check for rust at the same time and attend to that if requird before refiting.

deff get it out,a lot off 993 cars have rusted through the screen surround.Difficult part is getting the screen out whole.
A lot of 993 racers use a 964 screen rubber and screen, easy to replace and cheaper.

as above, and when its out make the windscreen centre clean off all the adhesive, and treat the knife marks from the removal process. ( have a bodyshop come in and do this with a pencil brush if necessary)
