Car was booked in for a new screen this morning at Auto windscreens, had arranged for them to fit a dealer part rather than a generic unit................failed ! my car is a lefthooker, and despite the fitter having changed many 911 screens before he was unable to fit mine as we could not locate the connector box for the screen antenna. Normaly on the RHD cars the box I think is behind the clock, but on the LHD cars the passenger airbags etc are in the way. We could not get tech info from two PC's that we called nor from Auto Windscreens tech dept cos it was a Saturday and of course no staff !!I am sure I could have got the info from Renn if they had had an internet connection. So come on chaps what do you think?the other issue was how do you refix the aftermarket rain sensor to the screen?

I've had the screen in an out of my left hooker three times for various reasons over the years but never heard of any issues with the signal booster. Maybe there's never been an issue because it's always been done at a Porsche approved body shop, except the last time but this was still a shop that deals with high end cars. I have always assumed that the booster must be somewhere behind the glove box but have never found out exactly where. I will have to find out though because the FM decided to stop working a few days ago and I want to illiminate booster problems before I condemn the radio. So if you do find out could you post please?
