I need to purchase and fit a new windshield to my 1984 944, the original one had gone milky round the edges. The later model 944s have a rubber seal round the windscreen where mine has some clipped on metal strips. Is it possible to fit the windscreen to my 1984 model with the rubber seal of the later models? The windshield fitment is much tidier on the later cars imo.

Do you have any more info on this Tam? Is the frame a Porsche part or does it have to be made?

There is a genuine Porsche frame kit (That's how they made the screens on 924 GTs flush), however how difficult that is going to be to obtain, I don't know. I have a couple of contacts who've recreated the 924 GT screens for historic motorsport starting with a 924 Turbo base (which have the same screens as early 944/all 924S.), so I can ask them and report back.
I've been toying with the idea for my track car, a 924S, but decent wheels, suspension, rear screen, seats etc etc all had priority...

Fen, just curious. But if I ever have to replace the windscreen on mine, I'd much rather put the newer type windscreen on as it is much tidier.
