Windscreen top tint - was it standard?

As above, driving into the low sun I, for the first time since I got the car, noticed the lack of top tint to the windscreen and frankly, it's quite annoying.

It's a 2023 Cayenne eHybrid Platinum Edition. The spec on-line for the Platinum edition doesn't mention one but it was on my last Cayenne 3.0d.

The car was a few months old when I bought it so may have had a replacement screen, possibly. Or it was an extra. Anyone know?

Hi Peter I had to have my windscreen changed after only a few months due to damage. I asked for it to be replaced with a genuine one as the repairer told me they would have just put a standard one in, which wouldn’t have had the top tint. As far as I can remember I’m pretty sure I didn’t tick anything when building my Platinum ref tinted glass.

So your car is the same as mine and it had top tint from new? And you got a replacement with top tint?

That's good to know as my OPC reckoned that it didn't/couldn't be optioned. I can't see why it would not be possible to replace with one as clearly it was fitted to other versions. Dependent on the spec regarding sensors etc.
