Windscreen Washer Issue.

Hello.
has anyone ever had to take the washer bottle, (the one filled from inside the fuel cap) off the car.
My jets are constantly blocking and having had the near side one off for the umpteenth time last night, I sucked out quite a bit of rubbish.
Now the off side is blocked and needs to come off.
It would seem that the fluid in the bottle may have congealed, hence the rubbish. I've had the car three and a half years and only filled the bottle once. It doesnt get used much in dirty weather.
I therefore believe the way forward would be to clear the system out.
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

yeh its an easy one take the inner wheel arch (black plastic cover)of and hey presto its there only two bolts to remove and maybe a jubly clip on filler pipe.be careful not to brake the nozzles on the pumps when taking the pipes of.

Oh and be warned once i sucked the washer jets to try and unblock them only to find a dead mouse stuck in the washer bottle blocking the outlet,i was thinking im going to get the plague lol not nice at all.[:'(]

Has anyone changed their washer nozzles to something more suitable?? The two jets from each nozzle are pitiful to say the least, what i would like is something that fires a nice wide spray of water ......

How on earth did a mouse get into the washer bottle!!! Surely the only way would be through an open filler tube?? [&:]

Thanks DIRTGOD,
I'll give this a go and I'll look out for dead mice. I bet you were concerned you had poisoned yourself.
I wouldn't have slept for a week, thinking about this.
I had a bl***y great spider drop from the garage ceiling down the upturned coller of my jacket recently. I didn't see it until it touched my face.
Ah!!! I hate spiders.
Thanks once again.

Hello Scamper.
This is a good point, they are pathetic really. I hope someone has completed a successful mod, and we get to hear about it.
I had a Peugeot some time ago that had a pipe as part of the wiper arm, worked well, but the idea didn't seem to catch on.
Works well on buses I've noticed. I might experiment with some silicone pipe I just happen to have.
