Windscreen washer line

On my 981 GTS I've just noticed the line from the bottle to the washers has broken where it leaves the body and goes into the lid to the front luggage compartment so all liquid pours straight out. See photo attached.
Can anyone tell me if that is going to be an expensive job to obtain the part and then feed it into position?

That little clip at the bottom of the bonnet edge comes off and let's you get to the line that feeds across to the washers. If you can get a windscreen washer hose joint piece, they come in various sizes of MM, then you should be able to rejoint it.

Happened to my Boxster in February, 10 minute job when you have the part. That's assuming nothing is physically broken with the lines themselves. The Porsche part is stupidly expensive for a bit of plastic but maybe Porsche would cancel a warranty if it was discovered and be able to link it through to a broken gearbox component [8D]

This happened on both our 981 and 718, but luckily when they were still under warranty, so it was an easy solution taking it to an OPC.

We had a temporary fix with a lot of tape (after removing that clip and joining the two ends), which actually lasted quite a while.

Hope you get the part you need!

Just had this happen on my 2yr old 718 GT4, didn't happen on my 981 GTS in 4 years of ownership so I must have been lucky! Hopefully a warranty claim, or worst case an hour's labour I guess.

Googling around it seems to be a common problem...

Jeff,

If it is 991.628.667.03 part #14 on the illustration then it is c£18 inc VAT before Club discount
